Last Updated: September 11, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Student," or "you") and DomainTheses ("DomainTheses," "we," "us," or "our"), a service accessible at domaintheses.com (the "Platform"), governing your access to and use of our academic and software engineering mentorship services (the "Services"). By accessing or using the Platform, registering for an account, or engaging with any DomainTheses mentor, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.
1. Description of Services
DomainTheses provides academic and software engineering mentorship to students at the undergraduate (BSc), postgraduate (MSc), and doctoral (PhD) levels. Our Services include, without limitation:
- Expert guidance and one-on-one mentorship on software engineering projects and academic theses;
- Architectural planning, technical consultation, and periodic review sessions;
- One-on-one defense preparation, including mock defense question-and-answer sessions and presentation reviews;
- A structured four-stage project pipeline consisting of: (i) Topic Approval, (ii) Development, (iii) Code Walkthroughs, and (iv) Final Defense mock sessions.
DomainTheses acts solely in an advisory, consultative, and mentorship capacity. We do not develop, author, or submit any academic work, project, or thesis on behalf of any User, and we are not a party to, nor do we represent, any academic institution.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Services. If you are enrolled at an academic institution, you remain solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with your institution's academic integrity policies, codes of conduct, and any applicable rules governing external assistance, mentorship, or collaboration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Intellectual Property Ownership
You retain full, exclusive, and unencumbered ownership of all intellectual property rights in and to your project code, source code, documentation, thesis content, designs, and any other original work product that you create in connection with the Services ("User Work Product"). Nothing in these Terms transfers, assigns, licenses, or otherwise grants DomainTheses any ownership interest in your User Work Product.
DomainTheses' role is strictly limited to providing consultation, review, technical guidance, and mentorship in connection with your User Work Product. Any suggestions, feedback, code review comments, or architectural recommendations provided by a DomainTheses mentor are offered for your consideration only, and you retain full discretion and responsibility for whether and how to incorporate such input into your User Work Product.
You grant DomainTheses a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, royalty-free license to access, view, and review your project materials solely to the extent necessary to provide the Services to you. This license terminates automatically upon completion or termination of the applicable engagement, except to the extent DomainTheses is required to retain materials for legal, regulatory, or record-keeping purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
DomainTheses will not use, reproduce, publish, distribute, or disclose your User Work Product to any third party without your express prior written consent, except as required by law or as necessary to provide the Services (for example, anonymized and aggregated references to project categories for illustrative case studies, which will never disclose your identity or proprietary implementation details without separate consent).
4. Academic Outcome Disclaimer
DomainTheses provides expert guidance, technical mentorship, and defense preparation designed to strengthen your understanding, technical competence, and presentation readiness. However, DomainTheses makes no guarantee, warranty, or representation, express or implied, regarding:
- the grade, mark, or score you will receive for any academic project or thesis;
- approval, acceptance, or endorsement of your topic, proposal, or final submission by any supervisor, examiner, department, or academic institution;
- successful completion of any defense, viva voce, or oral examination; or
- the award of any degree, diploma, certification, or academic credential.
Academic outcomes are determined solely by your academic institution, its faculty, examiners, and its internal policies, none of which are controlled or influenced by DomainTheses. You acknowledge that your engagement with DomainTheses does not constitute, replace, or substitute for supervision by your officially assigned academic supervisor or institution.
5. Academic Integrity
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with the academic integrity, plagiarism, and originality policies of your institution. DomainTheses does not author, ghostwrite, or complete academic submissions on your behalf, and any work product you submit to your institution must reflect your own understanding, effort, and authorship, informed by the mentorship and guidance we provide.
6. Third-Party Services
DomainTheses uses third-party platforms, including WhatsApp and Calendly, to facilitate communication and scheduling between Users and mentors. Your use of these third-party platforms is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies, over which DomainTheses has no control.
